Spacious room and very affordable. Check in very smooth.

While the room was very lovely, it was very loud with the sound of chairs being dragged every hour in between midnight and 3am despite it being a week night. Lack of vegan options with breakfast

It was a lovely place to stay. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Loved the location, in quaint Newport. The woman at the front desk (so sorry, I'm terrible with names) was soooo helpful, from her knowledge of Irish traditions to the local landscape. We were looking for a home on Achill and spent a great amount of time there, but we also ventured out to the Ceide fields, the DownPatrick head and headed through Louisburg, driving south. She guided us to the Delphi valley and the Burren. Truly a wealth of knowledge and guidance. The room was warm and spacious (we were traveling in early February and it had been chilly in other places we stayed). The breakfasts were great ans so were all the staff -witers/waitresses, bar tenders, cleaning people. Overall it was a great experience!

Staff were excellent, location ideal. We enjoyed both the dinner and the breakfast.
What did you not like about your stay in the property or location?
I felt that the bath was too narrow for the shower, the shower curtain took up alot of the shower space! Also as the sink was connected to the bath, both the floor and sink area were drenched after our showers.

We had arranged a family get together for a birthday party.From start to finish the staff were so helpful. Everyone in our group of nearly 30 people praised the staff and beautiful food we received.Rooms were spacious and clean. Thanks again for making our party so special and memorable,We will be back 10 out of 10 from all the O'Kelly clan.

What did you like about your stay in the property or location?
From the moment we checked in the staff were warm and welcoming and felt at home. It’s a calm environment and you feel part of the local fabric in Hotel Newport because of its location. Our was well decorated with an amazing view of the town. The temperature was perfect all night and day which meant a lot. Breakfast was beautiful and dinner was extremely delicious using local produce. Overall it was extremely good value and I think we were lucky with the rate. Can’t wait to be back and recommend to family and friends. Also impressed with disability access to bar, dining area and to the rooms.
What did you not like about your stay in the property or location?
Draught in hotel reception area when front door opens takes away from sitting in the comfortable lounge area. Other than that I can’t fault Hotel Newport.

we were here for the John McFadden weekend of music - excellent location, lovely helpful staff, car park so accessible

Location was perfect as a base for exploring Achill and Nephin National park. Centrally located in Newport with ample free parking,and excellent value. The staff were relaxed, friendly and so welcoming . A gem of a hotel I'd be delighted to stay in again.

My only issue was I couldn't get the bedroom cool enough for my liking despite turning off the heat and opening windows.

We changed our booking to 2 bedrooms and were delighted with our rooms.. Very comfortable beds and pillows, room lovely and warm.. Food delicious for our evening meal and a lovely continental breakfast. All staff very welcoming and efficient. We will be back!
