Greenway Cycling Holiday Wild Mayo Coast

Great Western Greenway Packages @ Hotel Newport

The Great Western Greenway is a spectacular 42km off road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line between Westport and Achill Island in County Mayo.

With so many things to see and do along the route it has become of Ireland’s top holiday destinations at the centre of the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Atlantic Coastal route.

Some of the highlights along the Greenway are the Seven Arches of the Newport Railway Viaduct, Rockfleet Castle; home to Grace O`Malley or Granuaile the famous pirate Queen, St. Patrick's Church and Burrishoole Abbey. Not to mention the numerous coffee shops of Westport, Mulranny and the stunning scenery in between.

Hotel Newport is the ideal base for exploring the Great Western Greenway as the Greenway passes by our front door. Our Greenway cycling package includes B&B, bike hire, plus a packed lunch to fuel your endeavours, followed by a 3 course evening meal to look forward to when you return from this amazing walking and cycling facility in County Mayo.
Bike hire is included, however if you wish to bring your own bicycles we can offer the same package with the bike hire taken off.

For those travelling with their bikes we are happy to offer over night, secure storage for them.

We can also arrange transfers along with the bike hire, so you have the option to cycle and get a bus back.
