Mayo Greenway Cycling Holiday
The Great Western Greenway is a spectacular 42km off road cycling and walking trail along an old railway line between Westport and Achill Island in County Mayo. With so many things to see and do along the route it has become of Ireland’s top holiday destinations at the centre of the Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland’s Atlantic Coastal route. Some of the highlights along the Greenway are;
- The seven arches of the Newport Railway Viaduct
- Rockfleet Castle; home to Grace O'Malley or Granuaile the famous pirate Queen
- St. Patrick's Church
- Burrishoole Abbey
- Achill Island
Not to mention the numerous coffee shops of Westport, Mulranny and the stunning scenery in between.
